Advance Collection controller
Last updated . Sources are linked in the text.
Advance Collection separates the collection menus from each game's controls. Start with one connected controller, check its detected input in Steam, and test a playable room as well as the launcher menu. PS4 prompts use a published GBA-to-PlayStation terminology table.

| B | Cross |
| L | L1 |
| R | R1 |

Steam setup: test one input path at a time
- Close the game, connect the intended controller and disconnect spare physical or virtual controllers.
- In Steam Settings, open Controller and check that the intended device is detected and its buttons respond.
- Open Advance Collection's Library Properties, then Controller. Record the current override. Try Steam Input enabled for a device needing translation; if native input already works, avoid layering multiple remappers.
- Relaunch, select a game, and test movement plus jump and attack in a safe room. Passing the collection menu alone does not prove in-game input works.
- If the change did not help, close the game and restore the previous setting before trying a different connection or mapping.
Menus work but gameplay does not
Questions
Why does a GBA A prompt mean Circle on PS4?
Konami publishes that correspondence for this collection: A means Circle, B means Cross, L means L1 and R means R1. Check each game's action configuration as well.
Will Bluetooth definitely fix the controller?
No. The cited thread contains both success and failure reports. First isolate the intended player-one device, then test connection and Steam Input settings one at a time.
