The 1999 sealing is official backstory. It is different from an announced standalone game, and should not be described as an unconfirmed event merely because its battle is not a playable campaign.

What the timeline account says
Konami's Grimoire of Souls story introduction explicitly places the sealing of Dracula's castle inside the solar eclipse of 1999. The Sorrow games refer back to that defeat; their playable stories take place in 2035 and 2036.
Julius Belmont and the wider war account are described in the community Demon Castle War reference, which cites game dialogue. Treat extra participant lists and calendar-day details as secondary-source lore, not a new official announcement.
What has not shipped
No standalone campaign of the 1999 war is identified in the checked publisher catalogue as of 16 October 2026, and the checked sources provide no release date for one. This is not a claim that the event is never depicted: Grimoire's introduction briefly shows the sealing, as documented by the community reference. Belmont's Curse is set in 1499, not 1999.
No standalone campaign is identified in the checked catalogue. The Sorrow games refer back to the war; a brief depiction of the sealing in Grimoire is not a full playable 1999 campaign.
Is Julius in a game?
Julius appears in the Sorrow games' story. The 1999 battle itself is not a playable campaign.
