Beat opening Dracula hitless in SotN
Last updated . Sources are linked in the text.
This is Richter's opening Bloodlines fight, not Alucard's final boss. Holy Water and its Hydro Storm Item Crash provide a documented low-risk method. The Xbox Bloodlines achievement specifically requires finishing this stage without getting hit.
Prepare hearts and Holy Water
- Before triggering the dialogue, collect hearts from the introductory candles and hidden stairway room. Strike the wall at the top of the initial staircase to reveal its switch.
- Aim for at least 45 hearts for three Hydro Storm uses; extra hearts provide a margin if your first attack is late.
- After the dialogue, break the last candle on the left inside the boss chamber and take Holy Water. Keep it equipped instead of swapping back to Cross.
Two-phase no-hit method
- As Dracula materializes and becomes vulnerable, use Item Crash with Holy Water equipped to cast Hydro Storm. Use the Item Crash binding, not the ordinary subweapon throw.
- Stay out of contact with Dracula. Let the rain damage the first form; add safe whip hits to the head if needed. If he gets an attack off, clear or jump the fireballs before committing to another hit.
- As the large second form finishes transforming, cast Hydro Storm again. Use a further cast as soon as you can if it survives.
- Watch the second form between casts and keep space to react to its jump. If Richter takes a hit, restart the opening for the no-hit attempt; winning after damage does not meet the condition.

Questions
Can I use Holy Water for Bloodlines?
Yes. The condition is no hits, not whip-only combat. Use Holy Water's Item Crash, Hydro Storm, after preparing enough hearts.
Does this beat the final Dracula with Alucard?
No. This method is for Richter in the opening Bloodlines sequence. Alucard has a different final encounter and move set.
